Vernon L. Naake, M.D.

Dr. Naake came to Colorado by way of Sacramento, California. After earning his BS in Biochemistry from the University of San Francisco, with magna cum laude honors, he and his wife moved back to her home state of Colorado. He attended medical school and chose a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. He then joined The Women’s Health Group and became a Managing Partner.

Dr. Naake is the Director of Women’s and Children’s Services Department at North Suburban Medical Center. In addition to contributing volunteer care at multiple clinics for the uninsured, Dr. Naake is the President of the Board of Directors for Clinica Colorado, a low-cost, non-profit clinic for North Metro Denver.

Dr. Naake believes that a woman’s health is a collaboration between her and her doctor. He enjoys this important relationship with each patient and strives to provide complete care so every patient can enjoy good health. Whether it is participating in family planning, the wondrous event of childbirth, or a complex minimally-invasive surgery, Dr. Naake is an advocate for women’s health in every stage of life.

What makes Colorado home to you?

The open space, mountains, rivers and streams.

What are your passions outside of work?

My family, skiing, fly fishing, dirt bikes, woodworking, travel, cooking.

Why did you become an OB/GYN?

Complete healthcare for women. A specialty that allows long term relationships with my patients and allows for a wide skill set including pregnancy, surgery, endocrinology, to care for women through every stage of life.

What in your career are you most proud?

The ability to offer excellent obstetrical care in a small community setting. The growth of a practice in the north metro area that offers excellent care to all that values quality, empathy, and understanding to every patient.

What is the most important part of your job?

With over 20 years of experience in OB/Gyn, I am able to use my experience and dedication to quality to give the best care possible to my patients as well as collaborate with my colleagues to provide excellent outcomes in all phases of our practice.

Work in the Community:

President, BOD, Clinica Colorado, which provides a Safety Net Clinic in North Metro Denver providing a medical home for those in need.
