Dr. Vernon Naake was born and raised in Sacramento, California and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of San Francisco. Dr. Naake moved to Colorado in 1989 with his wife (a third generation native of Colorado) to attend the University of Colorado School of Medicine, graduating in 1994 and completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology there as well. In 1998 after residency, Dr. Naake joined The Women’s Health Group, a progressive, private OB/GYN practice located at North Suburban Medical Center. Dr. Naake has been a managing partner in the practice since 2000 and is a strong advocate for minimally invasive surgery for women in the north Denver area. Currently, Dr. Naake serves as the Vice Chairman of the OB/GYN department at North Suburban Medical Center.
Community service is a large part of Dr. Naake’s life. Dr. Naake was instrumental in the development of Clinica Colorado, a non-profit clinic that serves the uninsured and underinsured people of the north Denver metro area. In addition to serving as a consultant to the clinic, he also volunteers his time as an OB/GYN physician. Previously, Dr. Naake was a board member for Clinica Tepeyac where he also volunteered his time seeing patients in the clinic.
