Vernon L. Naake, M.D.

Dr. Vernon Naake was born and raised in Sacramento, California and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of San Francisco. Dr. Naake moved to Colorado in 1989 with his wife-a third generation native, to attend the University of Colorado School of Medicine, graduating in 1994 and completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology there as well. In 1998 after residency, Dr. Naake joined The Women’s Health Group, a progressive, private OB/GYN practice located at North Suburban Medical Center. Dr. Naake has been a managing partner in the practice since 2000 and has been instrumental in promoting minimally-invasive surgery for women in the north Denver area.
Dr. Naake also volunteers his time at Clinica Tepeyac, a privately funded, non-profit clinic that serves the uninsured in the Denver metro area. In addition to running their GYN clinic, Dr. Naake sits on the Board of Directors.
Dr. Vernon Naake was recently selected by North Suburban Medical Center to receive the Frist Humanitarian Award. According to Shelley Leigh, Director of Medical Staff Services, this award “…recognizes employees, physicians and volunteers who demonstrate extraordinary concern for the welfare and happiness of their patients and the community.”
Not only is Dr. Naake a respected physician at NSMC, he is also a managing partner of The Women’s Health Group, P.C. Community service is a large part of Dr. Naake’s life. Not only is he a volunteer gynecologist at Clinica Tepeyac (www.clinicatepeyac.org) , he also serves on Clinica's Board of Directors; is the head of the Medical Committee and makes himself available daily to provide support to the medical staff as well as sees patients in the clinic. Dr. Naake’s free time is spent with his active family.
